Cosmetic Dentistry: Multiple Crowns or Veneers
In some cases, patient request or require the restoration of more than just one tooth. This may be due to trauma, congenital (genetic) condition, cosmetic desires or trauma. Not all patients require 10 or 12 crowns to make a difference. Sometimes just 2, 4 or 6 restorations make a big difference to the patient’s satisfaction.
Let us perform a consultation complete with pictures, examination and an adequate discussion so that we properly understand your desires. If you want to go one step further, we can make models and a white wax-up so you can see the estimated results before committing to treatment.

Case A: Anterior Cosmetic Makeover (Repair of all crowns)
This woman presented to Dr. Hogan with missing teeth and several teeth in a state of disrepair. She was concerned about her inability to chew adequately. Simply stated, there were some foods she could not eat. But she was also upset about the appearance of her teeth. She was afraid to smile. Dr. Hogan surgically placed some dental implants, performed root canals where needed and restored her entire mouth with fixed, cemented crowns. Per the patient’s desires, the crowns were built to be beautifully, bright white but “natural” in shape and size. Dr. Hogan evaluated her lips, cheeks, nose and overall face when deciding on the shape, size and position of each tooth. This is her result. With an ability to eat anything and smile confidently, she was extremely happy!
Case B: Multiple Cosmetic Crowns (Repair of all crowns)
Case B: Perfect match of 3 crowns
(Repair of Only the 3 crowns on patient’s left side / right side of the picture)
This patient is a retired gentleman who had been an existing patient of Dr. Hogan’s. Due to an accident he fractured three teeth on his left side of his upper arch and in the front of his mouth. Consistent with the desires of most retired men, he was not looking for a “big cosmetic makeover.” He just wanted three teeth that looked natural, were functional and were not removable but rather cemented. Dr. Hogan restored the three teeth with porcelain crowns. The patient was completely satisfied with the result!
